A couple of years ago, Tôn Thất An wrote the music for a short film by Chinese director Lam Can-zhao, whose debut feature The Dog 狗 (2016) left a strong impression on him. The short film, A Summer Delivery is now part of an episodic long feature about youth entitled Where the Sun shines bright 阳光灿烂的地方, starring Chinese actress-singer Jin Sha 金莎 (aka Kym). The film weaves several stories about left-behind children from a small village.
Where the Sun shines bright will have its world premiere at the upcoming 48th Moscow International film festival this month, on April 17th then later go to the IV Bishkek International Film Festival in Kyrgyzstan.
